The IT & Business Administration Training Program offers students the chance to refurbish computers, learn how to operate computer programs, and instruct members of the community to utilize technology. Students train in Help Desk support and business and design applications and have the opportunity to share their learned skills with the community. While placement within this program is somewhat limited (roughly 25 students per year), it provides participants with the chance to compete in a career that has many opportunities for growth and advancement.
Microsoft Authorized Refurbishing
Students acquire computers from local businesses and organizations, then perform diagnostic evaluations, complete necessary repairs, and install refurbished computers into qualified, underserved community organizations and schools. Students are responsible for taking donated equipment through every step of the process, from logging and testing to repair, formatting and distribution. Included are:
Diagnostic Evaluation
Repair Work
Spy Ware Removal
Networking
Network Support
