Enrollment and Duration
YouthBuild Philadelphia enrolls approximately 210-220 students for each program year. Participants are divided into two groups that spend alternate six-week sessions in the classroom and
on the worksite. Students complete the program in 12-15 months.
Our program offers amazing benefits to students beyond that of a typical
alternative school, including:
High school diploma
Vocational training and industry recognized certification
AmeriCorps community service
Caring teachers, case managers and mentors
Educational stipend (upon graduation/completion of AmeriCorps service hours)
School-wide special events
Leadership training is integrated into each of the school's program components. Students are encouraged to develop their leadership abilities and embrace the school’s core values: excellence, respect and perseverance.
