Computer Donation Program
The YouthBuild Philadelphia Technology Program is designed so that students may acquire hands-on training in computer repair, refurbishing and installation. Students take excess/used equipment (donated from corporations, businesses, organizations and individuals), perform diagnostic evaluations, make repairs, and install refurbished computers into qualified, underserved community organizations and schools.
YouthBuild Philadelphia is constantly seeking to acquire bulk excess/used computer equipment for refurbishing and distribution. All donations are tax deductible, and YouthBuild Philadelphia will provide necessary documentation (including our tax identification number) for each donation.
For bulk donations, YouthBuild Philadelphia will arrange and implement pickup and transportation services.
Some companies that have donated to YouthBuild Philadelphia:
- AAA
- FEMA
- U.S. Customs Service
- DELL
- National Cristina Foundation
- City of Philadelphia
- CruiseCritic.com
- The Philadelphia Phillies
- Wyeth Pharmaceuticals
Donations will provide meaningful training experience for students, and provide technology access to an underserved community or school. Interested parties should use the online donation form or contact YouthBuild Philadelphia for more information.
